3D Laser Scaning

3D laser scanner is a device that analyzes a real-world object or environment to collect point cloud data on its shape and appearance. The collected point cloud data will be registered with the Survey Data then be used to construct the 3D As-Built digital models in CAD environment.

3D point cloud data from Laser Scanning activities are useful for a wide variety of applications. Commonly applications of this technology including reverse engineering, industrial design, quality control/inspection and documentation.

PST deploy Leica Scan Station C10 and Faro Focus 3D laser scanning equipments to capture existing facilities data and generates the 3D As-Built model environment for further engineering design verification, clash detection for major plant revamp, rejuvenation, piping reinstatement and structural deck extension.

3D As-Built Modeling

Point clouds are most often created by 3D scanners. These devices measure in an automatic way a large number of points on the surface of an object, and often output a point cloud as a 3D data file. The point cloud represents the set of points that the device has measured.
As the result of a 3D scanning process point clouds are used for many purposes, including creating 3D CAD models for existing facilities, manufactured parts, quality inspection, and a multitude of visualization, animation and rendering.
PST convert scanned point cloud data into 3D As-Built model for Offshore and Onshore Retrofits/Revamps/Brownfield Project. The 3D model accuracy is within +-1mm to +-10mm. 3D As-Built model will be converted into CAD software and will be use to integrate with client detail design model to identify potential clashes issues before issuing AFC design prior to fabrication.

Dimensional Control Survey

The Dimensional Control survey is applied to specify the installation tolerances especially for piping tie-in point and structural modification, reinstatement and deck extension. PST offer Dimensional Control point-to-point survey measurements for Offshore and Onshore and FPSO/FSO marine conversion facilities.
